Fortune cookies that create more questions than answers fail. First, who comes up with these things? And how do they know (1) that there’s a message waiting for me and (2) that the messenger is attractive? But, the burning question is who’s this attractive person?
“None of us are as smart as all of us” is a motto I live by. I believe it’s a Japanese Proverb, but I’ve also heard it credited to Sam Walton (founder of Wal*Mart). Depending on who you ask, one source is better than the other. However, in my opinion, its source doesn’t really matter all that much. I like it because it emphasizes the fact that we need each other to reach our full potential. So let’s work together to accomplish something great. I know it’s hard to see, but that’s a completely blank fortune cookie message. Finding a message like that is either really good luck. Or not. I’m hoping the “no news is good news” adage translates to fortunes…
